Please come along at 1pm to Upper Green if you are free today (Saturday 11th September) for the Grand Opening of Ickleford’s new Book Exchange!
The new telephone box will be full of books for people of all ages, and from tomorrow will be available for use by all residents and all children at Ickleford School. Please feel free to borrow a book at any time – and replace it if you have a spare one at home. This is not a requirement, however – we have had many books donated by kind residents so far!
The event is being held on Upper Green, with live music and refreshments, and the weather is looking nice so it should be a lovely village gathering. The Parish Councillors and myself are looking forward to meeting many of you there!
