Dear residents,
The Environment Agency have put a boom across the River Hiz to catch the residual oil that is still on the surface of the river.
Currently there is no oil coming out of the mill site outfall, and everything was running clear from the site when the EA last checked.
The oil caught up in the riverbanks should break down naturally if left undisturbed.
