A brief update on the river pollution from the RHCG:
The river, through its natural cleansing process, continues to improve gradually. However, periods of heavy rain, which quickly increase the river’s flow, will dislodge areas of pollution caught up in the extensive reed growth.
The EA continues to monitor the situation closely, ensuring the site owners’ contractors change booms as they become dirty doing their job of collecting pollutants.
