Launch of the Great Chalk Way – Icknield Way Association and The Friends of the Ridgeway

 

 

 

 

 

The Icknield Way Association and The Friends of the Ridgeway have great pleasure inviting you to the launch of the Great Chalk Way with renowned author, Ridgeway National Trail Patron and President of the countryside charity CPRE, Mary-Ann Ochota.

The Great Chalk Way is a magnificent coast to coast walking and riding route covering approximately 400 miles across southern England linking Dorset with Norfolk. The route follows established long distance paths and two National Trails that traverses a chalk ridge and includes the Wessex Ridgeway, Cranborne Droves Way, Sarsen Way, Ridgeway National Trail, the Icknield Way and Peddars Way National Trail.

The launch takes place on Thursday 10th October 2024 from 9.45am – 12.30 at the Dunstable Downs Visitor Centre, Bedfordshire LU6 2GY. This invitation includes a National Trust wildlife and heritage guided walk around the Dunstable Downs Five Knolls.
