Fraudsters targeting people in car parks
Dear Watch Member,
Please be vigilant when paying to park in any car park.
People are being approached by fraudsters and asked to help pay for parking because the fraudster doesn’t have a bank card; they may offer to pay the victim cash in return.
The fraudster may then claim that the bank card isn’t working and ask for the victim’s date of birth or may watch the victim use the card and enter their PIN.
Very quickly, the fraudster makes off with the bank card and may withdraw large sums of money from the victim’s bank account.
Please don’t let this happen to you.
Play Area at Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club
The old bark surface has been replaced with new Eco Tumble safety surfacing. The woodden edging has been removed with the new recycled rubber surface now sloping down to the ground. We hope that you and your children enjoy the clean and safe new surface which also looks nicer!
Hertfordshire Police Surgery
Police officers and PCSOs from the Safer Neighbourhood Team at Hertfordshire Police will be holding a surgery on 24th August from 1 – 3 pm at Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club. This will be an opportunity for local residents to meet the Safer Neighbourhood Team and discuss any local issues, get crime prevention advice and sign up to Neighbourhood Watch.

A polite request to keep dogs on leads when walking by the river or along footpaths near to fields containing sheep or cows – thank you.
Bench at Three Arches
The new bench has been ordered and will be installed as soon as it arrives, to replace the old broken bench.
