Southbound bus stop on Bedford Road
The works that Highways began at the bus stop had to be halted in order to wait for utilities companies to carry out essential works before Highways can complete theirs. It is estimated that the utilities works will be completed around the beginning of September, and Highways will then resume their work.
In the meantime, a temporary bus stop is in use just south of the original bus stop.
To paraphrase Sir Winston Churchill : “These Southbound Bedford Road Bus Stop works are a supreme example of modern organisation”.
