Flooding in Ickleford – residents’ survey
There is a current, and historic, issue with flooding in Ickleford. The Parish Council has no direct power to carry out works to alleviate the problem, but has been working hard over the years to try to hold water companies and developers to account, unfortunately to no avail.
At our meeting last week, we heard two accounts of the recent flooding from residents. Our Clerk contacted Hertfordshire County Council to request an urgent meeting to discuss solutions to the issues that are causing the floods.
Herts County Council is in the process of arranging a meeting with the Parish Council and would like views of all residents affected by floods. Please use the link below to comment – responses will go directly to the Flood Risk and Adaptation Department at HCC for consideration. A multi-agency approach will be arranged to examine the causes of, and solutions for, the flooding. Thank you.
