Dear Residents,
I know that many of you will be receiving your Council Tax bills this week for the new financial year. You will see the increase to the Parish Council precept on your bill.
The Parish Council requested an increase of 2%, although this may appear as a higher amount due to the way the figures are represented on your bills.
As a Parish Council we discussed and debated the amount of increase that we would request for the coming year and we are aware that there are many financial pressures on local households. As UK inflation in recent months has been close to 1%, we felt an increase just above this figure was appropriate to allow us to continue to fund important local services that are provided by the Parish Council. The increase is equivalent to an extra £1.75 per annum for a Band C property.
