Tree planting at Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club

On Monday, the remainder of the saplings donated to Ickleford by The Woodland Trust were planted at Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club, by Mark and Luke at Evolution Tree Works, who volunteered their time.

The saplings have been planted around the pitch and along Footpath 12, and are protected from animals and extreme weather by guards.

Thank you to Evolution Tree Works, and to Parish Councillors who assisted with the planting – and to County Councillor David Barnard and Bim Afolami MP for their part in procuring the trees.
